Tommy "Urban D." Kyllonen
Tommy "Urban D." Kyllonen has dedicated his "shoes" to serve his church, his city, and you, as a pastor, Hip-Hop artist, author, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.
For over 20 years, Tommy has served as the lead pastor at Crossover Church in sunny Tampa, Florida. His church is a beautiful blend of a multi-ethnic, multi-generational, multi-class community. This has led Crossover to be recognized as an example for other churches to model after, while also experiencing 30x growth under Tommy’s leadership. Crossover is located in a 43,000-square-foot facility (formerly Toys R’ Us) in Tampa’s Uptown District. Outreach Magazine recognized Crossover as one of America’s most innovative churches. They have been featured in USA Today, CBS News, BET News, and several local and regional media outlets.
Urban D. is an internationally known Hip-Hop and Spoken Word artist who has released nine albums. Tommy has authored seven books. Several have been Amazon's best sellers.
With a passion for seeing other leaders win, he founded the Flavor Fest Urban Leadership Conference, which has trained over 6,000 leaders over the past two decades.
His coaching network has also trained over 100 pastors and church leaders on a deeper level. Tommy is one of the chairs of the Soaring City Innovation District Advisory Board, allowing him to serve as a connector and influencer in his community.
